These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Russell’s Landscaping & Maintenance LTD, including all landscaping and maintenance work.
By accepting a quotation, making a booking, or paying a deposit, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

If a booking is cancelled or access is not provided as agreed, a reasonable charge may be made to cover any loss of labour earnings.
These Terms apply to all landscaping and maintenance work, including but not limited to any work undertaken by Russell’s Landscaping & Maintenance LTD.
All work is subject to these Terms & Conditions.
All quotations are valid for 14–31 days from the issue date.
Work will be carried out as described in the quotation or service agreement.
Client-requested changes or unforeseen site conditions may result in a price variation. Any such variation will be confirmed in writing before additional work proceeds.
Any alterations requested by the client after agreement may incur additional labour or material charges, agreed before proceeding.
Deposit: 30% + VAT of the agreed contract sum is due on agreement/signing.
Interim payment: 50% + VAT payable during the project at agreed stages.
Final payment: 20% + VAT due within 10 days of completion, once both parties are satisfied.
Payment methods: Bank transfer preferred; cheques accepted if necessary.
Late payments: May incur 5% interest per month until settled.
Title to all materials remains with the company until full payment is received.
Clients must ensure:
Safe, unobstructed access to the work area.
All vehicles, personal items, and pet waste are removed prior to work.
Power and water supply are available; if these cannot be provided, please let us know in advance and we will bring a generator and water.
Neighbours are informed if access through their property is required.
Boundaries are clearly marked.
If work cannot proceed due to access issues, a charge for lost labour may apply.
Clients must disclose all underground pipes, drains, cables, foundations, or other obstructions.
The company cannot accept liability for undisclosed or unmarked services.
Additional labour due to unforeseen obstructions may be charged.
Site Surveys: We can carry out full site surveys if you are unsure about any underground or hidden obstructions. Please get in touch if you require a survey. When we attend, we will bring the necessary tools and equipment to fully assess the site and identify any potential issues before work begins.
All hedge, shrub, and tree work complies with the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981.
Machinery (including chainsaws) is operated by trained staff in accordance with PUWER Regulations.
Herbicides and chemicals are applied by qualified staff (e.g., PA1/PA6 certification).
Waste is disposed of responsibly in line with environmental regulations.
All materials supplied are new and fit for purpose.
Timber and natural materials may vary in colour, texture, or grain.
Manufacturer warranties apply where provided.
All work is carried out with reasonable care and skill to professional standards.
Work may be delayed or rescheduled due to adverse weather or unsafe conditions (e.g., high winds, heavy rain, frozen ground, nesting birds).
Estimated start dates may change due to weather or other jobs.
We will keep clients informed of any changes and agree suitable alternatives.
One-off work: minimum 10 working days’ notice required.
Regular maintenance contracts: 30 days’ notice after any minimum term.
Cancellation or missed visits may incur charges for lost labour or prepaid services (pro-rata refund minus any discounts).
Please keep children, pets, and third parties away from work areas and machinery.
We comply with all UK Health & Safety regulations, including ROLO accreditation.
Public liability insurance is held at all times; copies available on request.
The company cannot be held responsible for:
Damage to undisclosed or unmarked underground services.
Tree root growth, subsidence, drought, flooding, severe weather, or other natural events.
Failure of turf, plants, or seeding unless aftercare contracts are agreed.
Any congestion zone charges or parking fines incurred during work.
Any complaints must be reported within 7 days of work completion.
We will investigate and, where appropriate, rectify issues promptly.
We may take before/after photos or short video clips for records or promotional use.
No people, personal items, or identifying details will be included without consent.
We only collect and store information necessary to deliver our services and issue invoices.
All data is handled in compliance with UK GDPR.
